RESUMEN

A 34-year-old man with a history of Kawasaki disease had been experiencing chest pain at rest since middle school. Multidetector-row computed tomography showed no aneurysm formation; however, the right coronary artery had an anomalous origin with moderate stenosis. Invasive coronary angiography revealed moderate right coronary artery stenosis with a fractional flow reserve of 0.97. Finally, with a positive acetylcholine provocation test and elevated index of microvascular resistance, the patient was diagnosed with microvascular and epicardial vasospastic angina in the endotypes of ischemia with nonobstructive coronary arteries. This is the first reported case of both microvascular and epicardial vasospastic angina after Kawasaki disease. In patients with a history of Kawasaki disease, even those without cardiac sequelae, coronary endothelial and microvascular dysfunctions should be taken into consideration. Learning objective: We report the first case of both microvascular and epicardial vasospastic angina in the endotypes of ischemia with nonobstructive coronary arteries after Kawasaki disease.Coronary endothelial and microvascular dysfunctions should be taken into consideration in patients with a history of Kawasaki disease, even those without cardiac sequelae.

This case report discusses a 74-year-old man presenting with angina pectoris. Coronary computed tomography angiography suggested only mild stenosis in the mid left anterior descending artery (LAD), with fractional flow reserve based on computed tomography images (FFRct) value of 0.87. However, coronary angiography revealed slit-like stenosis in the mid LAD, and the invasive fractional flow reserve (FFR) was measured at 0.72, demonstrating a deviation from the FFRct value.

BACKGROUND: The geographical disparity in the pathophysiological pattern of coronary artery disease (CAD) among patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is unknown. OBJECTIVES: To elucidate the geographical variance in the pathophysiological characteristics of CAD. METHODS: Physiological indices derived from angiography-based fractional flow reserve pullbacks from patients with chronic coronary syndrome enrolled in the ASET Japan (n = 206) and ASET Brazil (n = 201) studies, which shared the same eligibility criteria, were analysed. The pathophysiological patterns of CAD were characterised using Murray law-based quantitative flow ratio (µQFR)-derived indices acquired from pre-PCI angiograms. The diffuseness of CAD was defined by the µQFR pullback pressure gradient index. RESULTS: Significant functional stenoses pre-PCI (µQFR ≤0.80) were more frequent in ASET Japan compared to ASET Brazil (89.9% vs. 67.5%, p < 0.001), as were rates of a post-PCI µQFR <0.91 (22.1% vs. 12.9%, p = 0.013). In the multivariable analysis, pre-procedural µQFR and diffuse disease were independent factors for predicting a post-PCI µQFR <0.91, which contributed to the different rates of post-PCI µQFR ≥0.91 between the studies. Among vessels with a post-PCI µQFR <0.91, a consistent diffuse pattern of CAD pre- and post-PCI occurred in 78.3% and 76.7% of patients in ASET Japan and Brazil, respectively; only 6.3% (Japan) and 10.0% (Brazil) of vessels had a major residual gradient. Independent risk factors for diffuse disease were diabetes mellitus in ASET Japan, and age and male gender in Brazil. CONCLUSIONS: There was geographic disparity in pre-procedural angiography-based pathophysiological characteristics. The combined pre-procedural physiological assessment of vessel µQFR and diffuseness of CAD may potentially identify patients who will benefit most from PCI.

Background/Aims: Asymptomatic esophageal eosinophilia (aEE) is considered to be a potential precursor of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). However, there are few clinical parameters that can be used to evaluate the disease. Therefore, we aimed to clarify the factors involved in the symptoms of EoE by examining the clinicopathological differences between aEE and EoE. Methods: We reviewed 41 patients with esophageal eosinophilia who underwent endoscopic ultrasonography and high-resolution manometry. They were divided into the aEE group (n=16) and the EoE group (n=25) using the Frequency Scale for the Symptoms of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease score. The patients' clinicopathological findings were collected and examined. Results: The median Frequency Scale for the Symptoms of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease score was 3.0 in the aEE group and 10.0 in the EoE group. There was no significant difference in patient characteristics, endoscopic findings and pathological findings. The cutoff value for wall thickening was 3.13 mm for the total esophageal wall thickness and 2.30 mm for the thickness from the surface to the muscular layer (total esophageal wall thickness: 84.0% sensitivity, 75.0% specificity; thickness from the surface to the muscular layer: 84.0% sensitivity, 68.7% specificity). The high-resolution manometry study was abnormal in seven patients (43.8%) in the aEE group and in 12 (48.0%) in the EoE group. The contractile front velocity was slower in the EoE group (p=0.026). Conclusions: The esophageal wall thickening in the lower portion of the esophagus is an important clinical factors related to the symptoms in patients with EoE.

Background: Intracoronary imaging improves clinical outcomes after stenting of complex coronary bifurcation lesions (CBLs), but the impact of Medina classification-based CBL distribution on outcomes of imaging-guided bifurcation stenting is unclear. Methods: In this integrated analysis of four previous studies, in which all CBLs were treated with drug-eluting stents under intravascular ultrasound or optical coherence tomography guidance, the distribution of 763 CBLs was assessed using angiographic Medina classification. Major adverse cardiac events (MACE), including target lesion revascularization (TLR), myocardial infarction, stent thrombosis, and cardiac death, were investigated at 1-year follow-up. Results: The most and least prevalent Medina subtypes were 0-1-0 (27.9 %) and 0-0-1 lesions (2.8 %). The most and least frequent MACE/TLR rates were 18.2 %/18.2 % for 0-0-1 lesions and 4.1 %/2.8 % for 0-1-0 lesions. Risks were higher for 0-0-1 lesions than for 0-1-0 lesions for both MACE (hazard ratio [HR]: 4.04, 95 % confidence interval [CI]: 1.21-13.45, p = 0.02) and TLR (HR: 6.19, 95 % CI: 1.69-22.74, p = 0.006). MACE rates were similar for true and non-true CBLs excluding 0-0-1 lesions (8.2 % and 5.9 %, HR 1.54, 95 % CI: 0.86-2.77, p = 0.15), while MACE (HR: 3.25, 95 % CI: 1.10-9.63, p = 0.03) and TLR (HR: 4.24, 95 % CI: 1.38-12.96, p = 0.01) risks were higher for 0-0-1 lesions. Conclusions: This integrated analysis of imaging-guided bifurcation stenting demonstrated similar clinical outcomes in true and non-true CBLs, except for 0-0-1 lesions, which had a significantly higher risk of MACE/TLR.

ICH S3A Q&A focused on microsampling (MS) was published to help accelerate the use of MS and states that MS is useful because toxicokinetic (TK) evaluation with conventional blood sampling volume requires many animals for TK satellite groups; however, there are few reports of MS application in mice. We investigated the influence of MS on toxicity evaluation in mice by comparing the toxicity parameters with and without MS after a single oral administration of 1-naphthylisothiocyanate (ANIT), a hepatotoxic substance. Blood samples (50 µL/point) were collected from the tail vein of 3 mice per group at 2 or 3 time points during a 24-hr period, and toxicity was evaluated 2 days after administration. ANIT-related changes suggesting liver or gallbladder injury were noted in blood chemistry and histopathology. Some of these changes such as increases in focal hepatocyte necrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration in the liver as well as mucosal epithelium necrosis in the gallbladder were apparently influenced by MS. A tendency to anemia was noted in animals with MS but not without MS, which was also noted in the vehicle-treated controls, suggesting influence of blood loss. The current results indicate that ANIT hepatotoxicity could be evaluated in mice in which blood samples were collected by MS for most parameters; however, parameters in anemia and pathology in the liver and gallbladder were influenced by MS in this study condition with ANIT. Therefore, MS application in mice should be carefully considered.

BACKGROUND: Even with intracoronary imaging-guided stent optimisation, suboptimal haemodynamic outcomes post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) can be related to residual lesions in non-stented segments. Preprocedural assessment of pathophysiological coronary artery disease (CAD) patterns could help predict the physiological response to PCI. AIMS: The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between preprocedural pathophysiological haemodynamic patterns and intracoronary imaging findings, as well as their association with physiological outcomes immediately post-PCI. METHODS: Data from 206 patients with chronic coronary syndrome enrolled in the ASET-JAPAN study were analysed. Pathophysiological CAD patterns were characterised using Murray law-based quantitative flow ratio (µQFR)-derived indices acquired from pre-PCI angiograms. The diffuseness of CAD was defined by the pullback pressure gradient (PPG) index. Intracoronary imaging in stented segments after stent optimisation was also analysed. RESULTS: In the multivariable analysis, diffuse disease - defined by the pre-PCI µQFR-PPG index - was an independent factor for predicting a post-PCI µQFR <0.91 (per 0.1 decrease of PPG index, odds ratio 1.57, 95% confidence interval: 1.07-2.34; p=0.022), whereas the stent expansion index (EI) was not associated with a suboptimal post-PCI µQFR. Among vessels with an EI ≥80% and post-PCI µQFR <0.91, 84.0% of those vessels had a diffuse pattern preprocedure. There was no significant difference in EI between vessels with diffuse disease and those with focal disease. The average plaque burden in the stented segment was significantly larger in vessels with a preprocedural diffuse CAD pattern. CONCLUSIONS: A physiological diffuse pattern preprocedure was an independent factor in predicting unfavourable immediate haemodynamic outcomes post-PCI, even after stent optimisation using intracoronary imaging. Preprocedural assessment of CAD patterns could identify patients who are likely to exhibit superior immediate haemodynamic outcomes following PCI.

BACKGROUND: Side branch (SB) occlusion during bifurcation stenting is a serious complication. This study aimed to predict SB compromise (SBC) using optical coherence tomography (OCT).Methods and Results: Among the 168 patients who enrolled in the 3D-OCT Bifurcation Registry, 111 bifurcation lesions were analyzed to develop an OCT risk score for predicting SBC. SBC was defined as worsening of angiographic SB ostial stenosis (≥90%) immediately after stenting. On the basis of OCT before stenting, geometric parameters (SB diameter [SBd], length from proximal branching point to carina tip [BP-CT length], and distance of the polygon of confluence [dPOC]) and 3-dimensional bifurcation types (parallel or perpendicular) were evaluated. SBC occurred in 36 (32%) lesions. The parallel-type bifurcation was significantly more frequent in lesions with SBC. The receiver operating characteristic curve indicated SBd ≤1.77 mm (area under the curve [AUC]=0.73, sensitivity 64%, specificity 75%), BP-CT length ≤1.8 mm (AUC=0.83, sensitivity 86%, specificity 68%), and dPOC ≤3.96 mm (AUC=0.68, sensitivity 63%, specificity 69%) as the best cut-off values for predicting SBC. To create the OCT risk score, we assigned 1 point to each of these factors. As the score increased, the frequency of SBC increased significantly (Score 0, 0%; Score 1, 8.7%; Score 2, 28%; Score 3, 58%; Score 4, 85%; P<0.0001). CONCLUSIONS: Prediction of SBC using OCT is feasible with high probability.

Background: The impact of coronary bifurcation angle (BA) on incomplete stent apposition (ISA) after crossover stenting followed by side branch (SB) intervention has not been established. Methods: A total of 100 crossover stentings randomly treated with proximal optimization technique followed by short balloon dilation in the SB (POT-SBD group, 48 patients) and final kissing balloon technique (KBT group, 52 patients) were analyzed in the PROPOT trial. Major ISA with maximum distance > 400 µm and its location was determined using optical coherence tomography before SB intervention and at the final procedure. The BA was defined as the angle between the distal main vessel and SB. Optimal POT was determined when the difference in stent volume index between the proximal and distal bifurcation was greater than the median value (0.86 mm3/mm) before SB intervention. Result: Major ISA was more frequently observed in the POT-SBD than in the KBT group (35% versus 17%, p < 0.05). In the POT-SBD group, worsening ISA after SBD was prominent at the distal bifurcation. The BA was an independent predictor of major ISA (odds ratio 1.04, 95% confidence interval 1.00-1.07, p < 0.05) with a cut-off value of 59.5° (p < 0.05). However, the cases treated with optimal POT in the short BA (<60°) indicated the lowest incidence of major ISA. In the KBT group, BA had no significant impact. Conclusion: A wide BA has a potential risk for the occurrence of major ISA after POT followed by SBD in coronary bifurcation stenting.

BACKGROUND/AIMS: We investigated the validity and safety of endoscopic submucosal dissection for gastric tumors by examining shortand long-term outcomes by tumor diameter. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Endoscopic submucosal dissection for gastric tumor was performed on 4259 lesions at our hospital between January 2005 and June 2021. [Study 1] Patients were divided into 5 tumor diameter groups: 3751 lesions, ≤30 mm; 366 lesions, 31-50 mm; 106 lesions, 51-75 mm; 24 lesions, 76-100 mm; and 12 lesions, ≥101 mm. Short-term gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection outcomes were investigated. [Study 2] Long-term outcomes (delayed gastric emptying and prognosis) were investigated in 508 cases with tumor diameter ≥31 mm. RESULTS: [Study 1] Perforation rate (%) was 1.2, 3.6, 3.8, 12.5, and 25.0 for lesions with tumor diameter ≤30 mm, in the range 31-50 mm, 51-75 mm, and 76-100 mm, and ≥101 mm, respectively. Postoperative bleeding rate (%) was 4.8, 9.0, 6.6, 20.8, and 33.3, respectively, R0 resection rate (%) was 96.8, 90.2, 89.6, 70.8, and 66.6, respectively, and curative resection rate (%) was 92.0, 61.2, 63.2, 45.8, and 8.3, respectively. [Study 2] There were 7 cases of delayed gastric emptying after wide resection, with 3 patients requiring balloon dilatation, 1 of whom subsequently underwent distal gastrectomy. Among 205 cases of noncurative resection, 110 underwent additional surgery, residual cancer was present in 11 cases, and lymph node metastasis was observed in 7 cases (1 patient died of disease). To date, 1 of the 95 patients being followed up has died of disease (mean follow-up: 2042 days). CONCLUSION: Even with a tumor diameter ≥31 mm, curative resection was achieved in about 60% of cases in which intramucosal lesions were considered possible preoperatively, but the rate was low at 8.3% for tumor diameter ≥101 mm. Long-term outcomes appear favorable, with only 0.4% of the patients dying of disease but delayed gastric emptying observed in 1.7% of cases.

The usefulness of optical frequency domain imaging (OFDI) guidance on two-stenting at left main bifurcation has not been evaluated. Here, we used a novel bench model to investigate whether pre-defined optimal rewiring with OFDI-guidance decreases acute incomplete stent apposition (ISA) at the left main bifurcation segment. A novel bench simulation system was developed to simulate the foreshortening and overlapping of daughter vessels as well as left main bifurcation motion under fluoroscopy. Double-kissing (DK) culotte stenting was performed using the novel bench model under fluoroscopy with or without OFDI-guidance. In the OFDI-guidance group, if the guidewire did not pass through the pre-defined optimal cell according to the 3-dimensional OFDI, additional attempts of rewiring into the jailed side branch were performed. The success rate of optimal jailed side branch rewiring after implantation of the first and second stent under OFDI-guidance was significantly higher than that under only angio-guidance. After completion of the DK-culotte stenting, the incidence and volume of ISA at the bifurcation segment in the OFDI-guidance group was significantly lower than that in the angio-guidance group. Online 3-dimensional OFDI-guided DK-culotte stenting according to a pre-defined optimal rewiring point might be superior to only angio-guided rewiring for reducing ISA at the bifurcation.

BACKGROUND: Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) is a commonly used tool for preoperative depth diagnosis of superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Probing EUS using the water-filled balloon method is a simple and safe examination. AIM: The aim of this study was to clarify the diagnostic performance of EUS with the water-filled balloon method for superficial ESCC compared to magnifying narrow-band imaging (ME-NBI). METHODS: We retrospectively examined 403 lesions in 393 consecutive patients diagnosed with ESCC and evaluated them with ME-NBI and EUS. Clinicopathological findings were collected, and the accuracy of the preoperative diagnosis was compared between ME-NBI and EUS-B. EUS examiners were not blinded to prior ME-NBI results, and EUS results may have been influenced by ME-NBI results. RESULTS: The pathological tumor depth of the EP/LPM in 152 lesions, MM/SM1 in 130 lesions, and deep submucosa (SM2/SM3) in 121 lesions was examined. The proportion of total lesions with an accurate diagnosis was significantly higher in EUS than in ME-NBI (67.7% versus 62.0%, P = 0.015). When analyzed by clinical depth diagnosis using ME-NBI, the proportion of lesions with an accurate diagnosis was significantly higher for EUS in MM/SM1 (55.7% versus 46.1%, P = 0.033). The sensitivity was significantly higher in EUS for SM2/SM3 lesions (76.0% versus 54.5%, P < 0.001). The accuracy and specificity of EUS, which differentiate MM/SM1 from EP/LPM or SM2/SM3, were significantly higher than those of ME-NBI. The median endoscopic ultrasonography procedure time was approximately 6.5 min. CONCLUSIONS: EUS with the water-filled balloon method is a safe and straightforward method that can be performed on lesions clinically diagnosed as MM/SM1 using ME-NBI. We retrospectively reviewed lesions in patients diagnosed with ESCC and evaluated them using magnifying endoscopy with narrow-band imaging (ME-NBI) and endoscopic ultrasound using the water-filled balloon method (EUS-B). We conclude that EUS-B can increase the diagnostic accuracy.

Background: We previously demonstrated the clinical events in patients who underwent catheter ablation (CA) for atrial fibrillation (AF). Data on the association between the period of atrial tachyarrhythmia (ATA) recurrence after CA and long-term major adverse clinical events (MACE) remain unclear. In this study, we evaluated this issue in patients with systolic impairment (left ventricular ejection fraction < 50%) and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). Methods: We retrospectively collected data from 81 patients with systolic impairment and 83 patients with HFpEF who underwent CA for AF at our institution (median follow-up: 4.9 [3.6, 6.6] years). In each group, we compared the cumulative incidence of long-term MACE (since 1 year after CA) between patients with and without ATA recurrence at three follow-up periods (3, 6 months, and 1 year after index CA). We evaluated the period of recurrence, which was the most beneficial predictor of MACE among the periods. Results: In the systolic impairment group, the cumulative long-term MACE incidence was significantly higher in patients with ATA recurrence than in those without it within 6 months and 1 year (P = 0.04 and P = 0.01, respectively). Recurrence within 1 year showed the highest feasibility for predicting long-term MACE (area under the curve with 95% confidence interval [CI]:0.73 [0.61-0.84]). However, there was no difference in the incidence of MACE between patients with and without recurrence in a group with HFpEF in each period. Conclusion: ATA recurrence within 1 year could predict long-term MACE in patients with systolic impairment, but not in patients with HFpEF.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Superficial pharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) has received increasing attention as a therapeutic target in the GI field with recent innovations in endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). However, there are currently no defined criteria for the application of ESD to superficial PSCC. One of the problems encountered during follow-up after ESD is cervical lymph node metastasis (LNM). Identifying the clinicopathologic predictors of cervical LNM can help to provide a basis for the refinement of therapeutic strategies for superficial PSCC. METHODS: The risk of cervical LNM was evaluated in 331 patients with superficial PSCC who underwent initial ESD between 2008 and 2021. Since tumor size, rather than depth, is the dominant factor in the current TNM classification for PSCC, the correlation between tumor size and thickness was investigated. RESULTS: The median follow-up period was 4.8 years. The cumulative 5-year cervical LNM rate was 6.1%. Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis identified tumor thickness ≥1000 µm and lymphatic invasion as significant independent predictors. Among 204 cases with subepithelial invasion, both factors were also revealed to be significant independent predictors, suggesting that tumor thickness was superior to tumor size in predicting cervical LNM. Despite the positive correlation between tumor thickness and size, there was noticeable variability in the values (R = .20), and the current staging was inadequate to identify groups at high risk for cervical LNM. CONCLUSIONS: Tumor thickness and lymphatic invasion are validated as significant independent predictors for cervical LNM and can be useful indicators to optimize the therapeutic strategies for superficial PSCC.

Background: Data on the incidence of mid-term prognostic events in patients who developed acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in the late 2010s are scarce. Methods and Results: We retrospectively included and collected data for 889 patients with ACS (ST-elevation myocardial infarction [STEMI]/non-ST-elevation ACS [NSTE-ACS]) discharged alive from 2 tertiary hospitals in Izumo City, in rural Japan, between August 2009 and July 2018. Patients were divided into 3 time groups (T1: August 2009-July 2012; T2: August 2012-July 2015; T3: August 2015-July 2018). The cumulative incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE; comprising all-cause death, recurrent ACS, and stroke), major bleeding, and heart failure hospitalization within 2 years of discharge was compared among the 3 groups. The incidence of freedom from MACE was significantly higher in the T3 group than in the T1 and T2 groups (93 [95% confidence interval {CI} 90-96%] vs. 86% [95% CI 83-90] and 89% [95% CI 90-96], respectively; P=0.03). There was a tendency for a higher incidence of STEMI among patients in T3 (P=0.057). The incidence of NSTE-ACS was comparable among the 3 groups (P=0.31), as was the incidence of major bleeding and hospitalization for heart failure. Conclusions: The incidence of mid-term MACE in patients who developed ACS during the late 2010 s (2015-2018) was lower than that in prior periods (2009-2015).

PURPOSE: We aimed to investigate the serial change of the side-branch ostial area (SBOA) depended on the wire-position before Kissing-balloon inflation (KBI) in the single-stent strategy for bifurcation lesions separately in the left main coronary artery (LMCA) and in non-LMCA. METHODS: Patients who underwent a single-stent KBI for a bifurcation lesion and had OCT images at the timing of the rewiring, at the post-procedure, and at the 9-month follow-up were extracted from the 3D-OCT Bifurcation Registry, which is a multicenter-prospective registry of patients with a percutaneous coronary intervention for a bifurcation lesion under OCT guidance. The SBOA was measured by dedicated software, and the rewiring position at the side-branch ostium after crossover stenting was assessed by three-dimensional-optical coherence tomography (3D-OCT). The optimal rewiring was defined as link-free-type and distal rewiring. The relationship between the optimal rewiring and the serial change of the SBOA was investigated separately in LMCA and non-LMCA cases. RESULTS: We examined 75 bifurcation lesions (LMCA, n = 35; non-LMCA, n = 40). The serial changes of the SBOA with the optimal rewiring were not significantly different regardless of LMCA and non-LMCA (LMCA:3.96 to 3.73 mm2, p = 0.38; non-LMCA:2.16 to 2.21 mm2, p = 0.98), whereas the serial changes of the SBOA with the sub-optimal rewiring were significantly reduced (LMCA:6.75 to 5.54 mm2, p = 0.013; non-LMCA:2.28 mm2 to 2.09 mm2, p = 0.024). There was no significant difference in clinical events between the optimal and sub-optimal rewiring group regardless of the LMCA and non-LMCA. CONCLUSION: The side-branch ostial area dilated with the optimal rewiring position in a bifurcation lesion treated with single crossover stenting and kissing-balloon inflation was preserved regardless of whether the bifurcation was in the LMCA or a non-LMCA.

BACKGROUND: Cold snare polypectomy is a high-risk endoscopic procedure with a low delayed post-polypectomy bleeding rate. However, it is unclear whether delayed post-polypectomy bleeding rates increase during continuous antithrombotic treatment. This study aimed to determine the safety of cold snare polypectomy during continuous antithrombotic treatment. METHODS: This single-center, retrospective cohort study enrolled patients who underwent cold snare polypectomy during antithrombotic treatment between January 2015 and December 2021. Patients were divided into continuation and withdrawal groups based on whether they continued with antithrombotic drugs or not. Propensity score matching was performed using age, sex, Charlson comorbidity index, hospitalization, scheduled treatment, type of antithrombotic drugs used, multiple medications used, indication for antithrombotic drugs, and gastrointestinal endoscopist qualifications. The delayed polypectomy bleeding rates were compared between the groups. Delayed polypectomy bleeding was defined as the presence of blood in stools and requiring endoscopic treatment or a decrease in hemoglobin level by 2 g/dL or more. RESULTS: The continuation and withdrawal groups included 134 and 294 patients, respectively. Delayed polypectomy bleeding was observed in 2 patients (1.5%) and 1 patient (0.3%) in the continuation and withdrawal groups, respectively (p = 0.23), before propensity score matching, with no significant difference. After propensity score matching, delayed polypectomy bleeding was observed in 1 patient (0.9%) in the continuation group but not in the withdrawal group, with no significant difference. CONCLUSION: Cold snare polypectomy during continuous antithrombotic treatment did not significantly increase delayed post-polypectomy bleeding rates. Therefore, this procedure may be safe during continuous antithrombotic treatment.
